Regional Event Production Assistant

Organization Overview: Sip Shop Eat is a national Pop-UP market celebrating all the best in emerging food, style and drinks. We create vibrant, unforgettable shopping experiences that allow small brands to grow big.

Position Overview: The responsibilities of this position includes event setup, overseeing event production items, volunteer support and reporting to the production manager. Must be a local resident of at least one of our event locations and available to work the event dates for their indicated city. Find our event calendar at: sipshopeat.com/vendor-dates

Reports To: Sip Shop Eat Event Production Manager

Location: Local to the event city 

Event Weekend: 

Saturday: 7am-5:30pm

Sunday: 9:30-7pm

Compensation: Event weekend: $400/weekend

Qualifications: 

• Local Resident Preferred

• A minimum of 2 years experience as an event coordinator or a similar role.

• Friendly, Kind, Highly charismatic and engaging.

• Strong organizational and time management abilities.

• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.

• Ability to multitask

• Attention to detail and ability to work effectively, with others, under pressure

• Takes direction well & works well with a team

• Great customer service skills

Physical Demands: Must be able to perform a variety of physical activities including, but not limited to, standing for long periods of time, climbing, walking, bending, reaching, and lifting, up to 50 lbs. Repetitive hand and wrist motion may be required. 

Key Responsibilities:

Works closely with the Sip Shop Eat team to create and coordinate unforgettable in person shopping experiences at local Sip Shop Eat events.

Provide on site execution of flawless event production including:

• Loading 

• Unloading 

• Event set up

• Assists in coordination of vendor load in/placement

• Assists in the Set up of Sip Shop Eat attendee check in, merch station & VIP gifting suite

• Supports attendee check-in & door sales

Additional Qualifications:

• Market or Trade Show experience preferred

• Self Starter

• Flexible and Creative 

• Great customer service, friendly 

• Enjoys the behind the scene process

• Loves small businesses/owners

• Finds event organizing rewarding 

• Enjoys talking to people and making connections
