Sip Shop Eat PR Specialist (Remote/Freelance)

We are looking to hire a dynamic PR Specialist to join the Sip Shop Eat team. In this role, you will be responsible for identifying media opportunities that raise awareness about Sip Shop Eat by drafting press releases, pitching Sip Shop Eat to publications, publishing event listings, organizing event promotions among reputable publications, securing press leads, collecting media event RSVPs and maintaining good relationships with clients and stakeholders. 

The ideal candidate has experience promoting events and has an established network of media contacts.

PR Coordinator Responsibilities:

  • Defining the company's public relations goals by developing and implementing strategies that spread awareness and increase event participation and attendance.

  • Writing and distributing detailed press releases and pitching Sip Shop Eat to content publications.

  • Cultivating strong relationships with media outlets and journalists to ensure efficient communication and maximum coverage.

  • Scheduling and coordinating Podcast interview requests along with pitching Sip Shop Eat to podcast outlets.

  • Working with the marketing team to plan and implement campaigns aimed at increasing brand awareness.

  • Analyzing the outcome of public relations campaigns and reporting the findings to the Sip Shop Eat CEO.

  • Manage media requests in a timely and professional manner

  • Ensure all communication is cohesive with the brand image

  • Track and analyze media coverage to inform future campaigns

  • Measure PR program impacts using regular reporting

  • Organize, schedule, and prepare key leaders for press interviews

  • Maintaining an up-to-date press list of journalists, influencers, and other members of the media.

PR Coordinator Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in public relations, journalism, marketing, or a relevant field.

  • At least 2 years of experience working in the public relations industry.

  • A portfolio of successful client work.

  • Excellent knowledge of public relations best practices, brand management, and media strategies.

  • Exceptional communication skills and the ability to collaborate with personnel and members of the media.

  • Superb written skills and knowledge of press release style guides.

  • Solid organizational skills and the ability to work well in a fast-paced environment.
